The Luminary is the online post-graduate journal, from Lancaster University's Department of English and Creative Writing. Our aim is to provide a forum through which post-graduates, from any institution, can share their current research, make connections with other post-graduates and gain publications. Our Summer issue entitled 'Textual Bodies' is now available. Please also check out our conference page, for news relating to the recent conference 'Fractured Images / Broken Words' Although this journal is linked to the Department of English and Creative Writing, we aren't limited to publishing papers within those disciplines. We welcome submissions from language studies, linguistics, cultural studies, film studies, inter-disciplinary research students... in fact, whatever discipline you're working within, we'd love you to submit your paper. Each semester we'll be looking for submissions based on a new theme, and we'll be looking to publish a wide variety of papers on a diverse range topics, texts and theoretical perspectives. For future issues, we'd like to encourage post-graduate students from any institution to submit a paper, as one of our aims is to make links between post-graduate communities from across departments and disciplines. To find out more about how to sumbit a paper, please visit our 'submissions' page. If you'd like to contact us with any questions, then feel free to email us at: enquiries@lancasterluminary.com.
We hope you enjoy our second issue!
